100 Days.

One hundred days until we get a chance to right this ship or sink with it.

One hundred days of things getting worse, instead of better.

Still, one hundred days until the next chance happens.

I’ve said for the longest time, “Beware of August… that’s when the real crazy is going to start.” We’re almost there, folks. As I stated before, the name of the game is voter suppression. Let’s add another thing to support the voter suppression narrative: Top Trump doner is now the Postmaster General. This is a problem. Let’s break it down, shall we?

(Smart) People are worried in this time of COVID. They want options to vote by mail. However, Trump has stated that:

Trump knows that if you make voting easier, more people will vote against him. Vote by mail, especially during this pandemic is important and KEY to allowing people to exercise their right to vote. We want to democratic process to move forward. We also want our citizens to feel and stay safe.

That’s why the appointment of Louis DeJoy by the Trump administration should be ringing hard bells. From an internal memo from the USPS:

“Overtime will be eliminated…If the plants run late they will keep the mail for the next day. If we cannot deliver all the mail due to call offs or shortage of people and you have no other help, the mail will not go out.”

USPS internal memo

This means if your ballot was turned in on time but the postal workers can’t deliver it because of no overtime, (and here is the critical part):

I cannot stress how important it is for you to take this seriously. There are so many challenges ahead of all of us Americans over the next 100 days. And make no mistake, things are going to get much darker and much worse to the lead up of the day we all get to vote. Be smart. Think of how you’re going to make sure your voice counts. They have already started the bullshit to make sure you cannot vote. You have to think NOW about how you are going to be counted.

If you are not registered to vote, aren’t sure how to vote, aren’t sure where to vote, please look at this online resource to help you.

Now, more than ever, in the middle of a pandemic, you have to have a plan and know what you are going to do because the government has failed all Americans. Even if Trump loses, there’s still going to be some more to that dumpster fire which I will touch on at a later time.
